Journey's Beginning

About 1:40 PM today Abby left us to be with our Lord and Savior. As I wrote earlier, she was very much at peace, surrounded by friends and family.

I was tempted to entitle this entry "Journey's End," but the events of the last few hours as well as my faith in God that convince me that it is most definitely a beginning. For what seemed to be an interminable time Abby sought to be free of her body that had ceased to work as it was designed. Now she can experience life in close proximity to our Father, never again to be hampered by a mortal shell.

As always, we are so thankful for your prayers.

Rejoicing in Heaven

There is rejoicing in heaven right now. The love and prayers of many, many people are covering you. Melinda Isaacs

You are in my prayers

Romans 14:7-9 7 For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. 8 If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

Praying

We weep with you even in thanking God for what He has done today...calling Abby to be with Him. May the comfort of Jesus cover you in the midst of your grief. Love to you, Andy and Gaye Lynn Kreider

Princess

Abby is such a special princess of the King. And so she got special invitation to celebrate our Savior’s Birthday at His precious Home. We love her dearly and so does Jesus. Can't wait the Day when we all get to join them both. My prayers are with you, dear Odham's and Wiersma's. Aleksandra NW Bible Church

Praying for All of You

My family and I are praying for you during this bittersweet time. We know there is great rejoicing in heaven, and we are so thankful that Abby is now fully healed, face to face with our precious Lord. At the same time, we can't even imagine how difficult it is for all of her loved ones who are experiencing the pain of her loss. I have prayed for months for Abby's healing, and the Lord has answered that prayer (though not in the way I had hoped). I will now pray that He will surround you with the comfort and strength you need for the days ahead. May He use Abby's life and your testimony to reach many lives. In His strong and unending love, Cheryl Tooke

From Malawi

Naomi had been checking your site throughout the middle of the night from our little house here in Malawi, Africa, expecting to read what seemed inevitable. She told me this morning around 3:30 when I woke up for some reason. Our hearts go out to your whole family and it really pains us that we can't be there. Not to say anything, or pass along anything we've learned from life and death, but just to sit with you. To be together. We miss you, our dear friends, and we will miss Abby until that time when all of us who love Him will have no more sickness, death or pain. Love, Tim

Welcome home, Abby.

My heart is heavy with the loss of Abby. What a comfort, as Christians, to know that she is healed. May our Lord bring peace and comfort to all of you in the days to come. My prayers will continue to be with you on Abby's Journey. Love, Dan Gerber Psalm 139

Our Praise and Condolensces

Praise to the Father who has taken her out of the shell to be with Him. Our condolensces to you in your loss. Right now more of what Patsy and I feel is praise because her battle is over (and, contrary to popular belief, she won). God will be taking good care of her and you will see her again. She may even send you a "postcard" from Heaven somehow! Who knows? Our thoughts are with you during your time of loss. We love you all and hope that God will ease your suffering with thoughts of how joyous her soul is for being with Him. In Christ, Doug and Patsy SACS-CASI

You are not alone on this journey

Without ever having met her, Abby has touched and blessed our family in ways you will never know - and she continues to do so even now. I'm so sorry for your loss, and my kids and I are grieving with you. We will continue to pray that God will hold you close and be especially near as you walk this next part of your journey together. I look forward to the day when I can meet and hug Abby in person, as I know you do too. - Julie (Henrikson) Rybarczyk, Minneapolis, MN

Abby now knows eternal life. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, Karen Brown

Life Everlasting

We are continuing praying for your family as you celebrate Abby's journey and grieve for your loss. We find hope in Paul's comment that "to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21)." Everything we know of love and all that is good comes from Christ. Abby is in the arms of perfect love and drinking from the living water. Blessings to you, Steve and Liz Bennett
